Wrestling and boxing were major sports at CU in the 1920′s. Dean Lahr became CU’s first and only NCAA champion wrestler in 1963. Other stars include: Kayo Lam, Jim Burke and Frank Rosenmayr. Today, wrestling is a club sport. The club is affiliated with the NCWA (National College Wrestling Assocation). CU is a member of the Southwest Conference that includes several Big Twelve schools.
